CRYOFINE ® Rubber Powder
MEI is the leader of rubber powder made from Post Industrial Rubber waste stream. MEI has been providing sustainability advantages to customers in the rubber and industrial markets for over 35 years. Cryofine® rubber powders are cross-linked and cured and cryogenically ground to customer specifications. Our products are a high quality, low cost rubber ingredient used to reduce production cost. Cryofine® polymers also help reduce blisters in molding and can help improve hot tear strength.

Applications
Cryogenic:
- Employs liquid nitrogen to freeze (-320 F) and embrittle rubber. The cold is fractured into uniformly and finely ground mesh powder.
- Does not lose of change any of its chemical physical properties.
- Imparts no impurities to the rubber being ground.
- No possibility for surface oxidation, due to the nitrogen grinding medium.

Slip Resistant Surfaces
MEI offers a stocking program of selected rubber products for slip resistant surfaces. No matter what type of coating you use and whether it is thick or thin, MEI will be able to offer rubber particles in a size to help improve slip resistance.
This is peroxide cured virgin rubber which has excellent color stability for outdoor applications. Eleven colors to select from including black. Sizes available are .5 x 1.5 mm (approx. 1/16") and 1-3 mm ( approx. 1/8"). The 5 x 1.5 mm is excellent for broadcasting onto a coated surface. Specifications and UV information available on our website. Contact our Sports Surfacing Division for price and availability.
14-30 mesh Off White Rubber
- This rubber is for slip resistant surfacing and to be blended into colored coatings. It is made from recycled rubber and does not have color fastness for outdoor exposure. Excellent for broadcasting onto a coated surface.
- Packaging in 50 lb. Kraft bags.
20 mesh Off White Rubber
- Slightly smaller in size and ideal for blending into coating compounds, this recycled rubber size is best used in roller applications.
- Packaging in 800 to 1,100 lb. Gaylord Box
- Custom packaging available upon request
40 mesh Off White Rubber
- Recycled rubber with very small particles. This powder is excellent for blending into a coating for spray applications. Also, excellent for blending into a coating as a thickening agent.
- Packaging in 50 lb. bag or Gaylord Box
- Custom packaging available upon request
